Skipness Smokehouse brings together our luxury smoked fish pâtés in our Artisan Pâté Gift Pack. This includes Smoked Salmon and Smoked Mackerel Pâté with Wooleys of Arran oatcakes.
Our Artisan Pâté Gift Pack include a selection of our irresistible home made smoked fish pâtés which are bursting with flavour and a must for any occasion.
The Smoked Salmon pâté has a rough texture and is made using mainly the pelical or outer layer of our Scottish Cold Smoked Salmon added to double cream, unsalted butter and a little lemon juice, our Smoked Mackerel pâté on the other hand is a smooth pâté which also contains double cream, unsalted butter and a hint wholegrain mustard. Our Artisan Pâté Gift Pack comes with a packet of both large and bite sized delicious Wooleys of Arran oatcakes.
We recommend removing the pates from the fridge a hour or so before serving bringing it to room temperature which enhances the flavour and makes it easier to spread.
You may wish to purchase this gift with or without a cellophane wrapped presentation wicker tray.
Skipness Smokehouse offer hand crafted, luxury Cold and Hot Smoked Salmon, Loch Fyne Kippers, undyed Smoked Haddock, Smoked Mackerel, seasonal delicacies such as Smoked Duck and our irresistible Smoked Fish Pates all produced in small batches at our artisan smokehouse.
The business was established in 1990 on the Isle of Arran and in 2016 relocated, back to the family farm, at the top of the Kintyre peninsula, in the picturesque village of Skipness. The smokehouse, is situated in the grounds of Skipness Castle, just a small ferry ride away from the Isles of Arran, Islay, Jura and Gigha.
